I bought a new OBD reader and decided to get an extender so that I can stand in front of my engine while the reader is plugged in and watch the real time data tracking while the engine is running. Between the cord on the reader and this extension, I can easily reach the engine compartment but not quite all the way around. Regardless, it's still handy.

Bought this along with the OBD reader, I suggest getting this for convenient sake. It allows you to plug the OBD into your car and let a passenger read the OBD screen while you drive. You'll want to test your car while it's driving down the street to make sure everything's working. You can't do that safely with the short cord that comes with the OBD. This gives you enough length for a PASSENGER to read the codes.

Plenty long enough to allow me to see real-time OBD data while standing in front of the engine bay. Was used to peering thru the windshield while the hood was up--not the best arrangement.

What can you say about an extension cable? It works! If you need to get easy access to whatever you have plugged into your car's OBD II connector. This is the cable for you. I'm very satisfied.
