Great case for the OnePlus 5
This case addresses all my issues with the OnePlus. - Makes the OnePlus 5 no longer slippery. Without the case, when I'd place the phone on a smooth surface and try to swipe, the raised camera would act like a pivot and the phone would want to spin around the camera, which was annoying. Similarly if I propped it up it would often want to slide down without something explicitly keeping it from doing so. The silicone case adds enough grippyness that neither of these happen anymore. - Protects everything except the screen, and even the screen gets a little protection by raising the screen off the table a little so it's no longer in direct contact. The OnePlus is a pretty slim phone, and obviously the case makes it thicker and heavier, but it's still pretty thin and light. I think the increases to thickness and weight are worth the added protection. The case fits well for me, and is not difficult to take off.I have one theoretically concern with the fact that this is a silicon case is that silicon insulates heat. There's a specific cut out in the bottom to let the grill have free access to airflow, but when charging on a non-dash charger I've felt the back of the phone get really hot (without the case). I'm not sure if it's OnePlus's intention that some of the heat be allowed to radiate out of the phone during charging or if the grill is enough to get all the heat out. Since the heat generating components are duplicated in OnePlus's "Dash" chargers, its less of a concern if you're using those chargers -- the heat should be primarily coming out of the chargers. But if you use a non-Dash (generic/borrowed) charger, I'm not sure if the heat will be more than desired. Of course, you could always take the case off in those cases if they're rare, which is what I'm doing.Additionally, I have one room in my house that gets super cruddy WiFi coverage. I *think* (but have never taken any measurements to confirm) that the case may slightly degrade antenna strength in that location. This is kind of a "straw that breaks the camel's back" situation -- I'd estimate that it's like a 1% worse signal. If I take the case off, I can sometimes get enough signal to load the webpage that I couldn't get. But again, I'm not positive I'm not just tricking myself with voodoo, and I barely get coverage in that room with the case off.
