Bluesound PowerNode 2i - Hi-Res Amplified Music Streamer - Black

Three issues that were found to be problematic: the setting up instructions are very minimal to say the least and do not cover any snags that are likely to be met. Secondly the standard banana plugs are not held securely enough being too large in length for the binding posts. I did ask for advice on suitably sized plugs from the support team but reply was basically there isn't one. So I removed the plugs and attached using the hole in the binding post. These issues aren't that important and can be resolved. My main concern was that the volume on the left was louder than on the right and there is no way to resolve this, there is no balance knob

This streamer/amplifier is simply terrific. It pairs well with decent speakers and source material, sounding more like gear costing about twice its price. The set up and control is easy, though I do think you’ll get more out of it with hi-res source material with a homeplug/ Ethernet solution. The app is great, as is the player for macOS, which can be used in place of buying a vault. This replaced a Marantz mini system and it’s simply a much more musical device.

The sound is warm and clear with a rich bass. Good for classical and acoustic music as well as Rock and Pop.Bluetooth has a wide range and the optical input works well with the tv. My ancient Naim speakers sound better than they ever did.I’m very pleased with this piece of equipment.Goodbye vinyl. Farewell CD’s. FLAC files on a NAS drive forever!

Very pleased with the output quality from the amp. Played through Q Acoustics standmounters and sub. Very open and precise sound. Well worth the investment, my whole system through the house is now Bluesound. Love the app too.
